Rushall Primary School Visit
On Thursday 3rd April, Aldridge School welcomed Year 6s from Rushall Primary School to experience what life is like in a secondary school before they make the big step up in September.
This is part of the Mercian Trust pilot project to look at ways of easing the issues around transition for some students so that they are ready to flourish when they arrive.
The Year 6s had a tour of the school using their maps, a talk from Mr. Richards, and a 'Colourful Chemistry' lesson with Mrs. Watts and Mr. Curzey.
Mrs. Jones, Senior Assistant Headteacher at Rushall, said: "The children have been talking about it lots today and the science activity has really got them buzzing about the subject.
Staff from across Rushall have been asking them about the visit."
Many thanks to Mrs Watts, Mr Curzey and Mr Richards for contributing to a wonderful morning.
