Our Core Values

At the heart of our school community are three core values: Kindness, Honesty and Respect. These values guide how we treat one another, how we learn and how we grow—both as individuals and together. By living these values every day, we create a safe, supportive and inspiring environment where everyone can thrive.

Kindness

A kind student treats others with compassion and empathy. They are considerate of others' feelings and willingly support those around them, helping to create a positive and caring community.

Honesty

An honest student tells the truth, takes responsibility for their actions and acts with integrity. They are trustworthy, reliable and accountable for their choices.

Respect

A respectful student values themselves, others and their surroundings. They listen carefully, speak courteously and treat everyone with dignity, helping to create a community where all feel safe, valued and included.

Living Our Values

At Aldridge School, our core values are more than words—they shape who we are, how we treat one another and how we prepare young people for life beyond school.

In 2024, students, families and staff were invited to help identify the values that mattered most to our community. Following extensive consultation, three values emerged consistently across all groups: Kindness, Honesty and Respect.

Since September 2024, these values have sat at the heart of school life. They guide our expectations, inform decision-making and shape the way we learn, behave and work together. They are embedded throughout our curriculum, character education programme, assemblies, tutor programme and rewards systems.

Our values are also brought to life beyond the classroom through charitable initiatives, community projects and opportunities for students to contribute positively to society.

At Aldridge School, Kindness, Honesty and Respect are not simply values we talk about—they are values we strive to live every day. Together, they help us create an exceptional school where everyone feels valued, safe and experiences a strong sense of belonging.
