Aldridge School students attend Politics Conference in Westminster

On Monday 10th March, students in Year 10, 11, 12 & 13 visited The Methodist Central Hall, Westminster to experience a political conference.

Guest speakers included Sir Jacob Rees-Mogg, Richard Tice MP, Reform UK and Emily Thornberry MP, Labour, to name a few.  The Hall was very impressive; however, this did not deter students from participating in asking questions of the speakers.

It was very reassuring to hear that our young people had such an insight into the world of politics and agendas that are important to them and more importantly, not afraid to hold people accountable for their actions.

We also heard from Alf Dubs, who shared with us his life stories of how he came to the UK on the Kindertransport in 1939.

Students were very well behaved, and it was a pleasure to experience the conference with them.
