Careers Event – Year 7 & 8 RAF Cosford Trip

As part of National Careers Week and to celebrate International Women’s Day, a group of Year 7 and 8 girls visited ‘Beyond Image’ at the RAF Cosford Museum.   

Students listened to several women in powerful positions who told their career stories including all the ups and downs. We heard from a wide variety of sectors including a content creator and charity CEO amongst others. Students were then given the opportunity to question the presenters in small groups as well as complete thought-provoking activities about stereotypes and dressing up in some of the RAF clothing. One of the highlights of the day was each students was given the opportunity to have their portrait drawn as a caricature.
