Celebrating Young Creativity: Book Week Highlights and Guest Poet!

This week, we wrapped up Book Week with a special celebratory assembly where pupils were awarded signed copies of “Scavengers” by Darren Simpson for their incredible competition entries!

A huge highlight was welcoming the inspiring Damani Dennisur (poet, performer, and Birmingham’s 7th Young Poet Laureate), who lit up the room with his powerful poetry. Damani began writing at 12 years old, just like many of our pupils, and now he is inspiring the next generation to find their own voices.
