Inter House Dance Festival
The Inter-house Dance Festival commenced on Tuesday 1st April 2025. The dancers were welcomed by the Year 7 audience in which they to rallied behind their house which encouraged a sense of unity and belonging to everyone involved. The dancers had been working for weeks to prepare their dance routines, learning to collaborate, communicate and support each other. This competition provides a platform for students to express their creativity and artistic talents through dance, encouraging them to explore different styles and techniques in relation to this year’s theme ‘Fairy Tales’.
Each house took on the theme and interpreted it into some great choreography. The audience saw classical and modern interpretations of fairy tales as well as depictions of emotions and feelings fairy tales create. There were Witches, Dragons and Mermaids performing in a variety of styles such as Ballroom, Irish and Martial Arts Dancing. The event also had a special performance from our very own Aldridge staff performing their own rendition to a Shrek medley.
Congratulations to Daniels House for winning the competition, achieving top marks in all categories (Interpretation, Choreography, Shape, Musicality and Presentation)!
