Just 6 Minutes to Make a Difference: School Champions Reading for Mental Wellbeing
This week, in recognition of Mental Health Awareness Week, Aldridge School delivered a simple yet powerful initiative: Just 6 Minutes.
During form time, students and staff took a daily six-minute pause to immerse themselves in fiction — a small act with a big impact! Research shows that reading for just six minutes can reduce stress levels by up to 68%.
More than just a moment of quiet, the initiative supported positive mental wellbeing while encouraging a culture of reading for pleasure across the whole school community.
