Poetry Comes Alive as Aldridge School Performers Shine!

Students from Years 7 to 10 at Aldridge School stepped into the spotlight for this year’s prestigious Poetry by Heart competition, which is a national celebration of poetry and performance.

With entries in the Freestyle category, our young performers impressed us with their creativity, confidence, and passion. From expressive movement to inventive props, their performances showcased poetry’s ability to inspire, connect, and empower.

1. Kaur, School Librarian, shared, “Our students brought real energy and originality to their performances. Poetry by Heart is a fantastic opportunity for them to shine, and they truly did!”
2. Humphries, Year 10, reflected on the experience, saying, “Performing poetry in my own style helped me discover a new way to express myself, and it was amazing to be part of something that brought our school community together.”
