Students Celebrate Success as F2D Returns with Finished Hoodie Designs

We were delighted to welcome F2D back into school to present students with the custom hoodies they designed as part of their earlier project. This marked the exciting final stage of a creative journey that saw students develop an idea from the initial design stage through to a finished, professional-quality product.

During the session, students confidently presented their projects, explaining their design process, creative decisions, and how their ideas evolved into the final hoodie designs. Seeing the students proudly showcase their finished hoodies was a real highlight and a testament to their hard work and creativity throughout the project.

From start to finish, this has been an outstanding learning experience. It was particularly inspiring to see students who have grown significantly in confidence, presenting their work in front of others — something that many initially found daunting. Through the project, students developed essential skills including resilience, communication, and problem-solving, working collaboratively to overcome challenges such as differing opinions and learning to compromise on design elements like colour choices so that everyone in the group felt represented.

This project has provided students with an invaluable insight into real-world design and collaboration, while building skills that will support them far beyond the classroom.

We would like to extend a huge thank you to Dan from F2D for his support, expertise, and enthusiasm throughout the project, and to the West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA) for funding this fantastic opportunity. Experiences like this make a lasting impact on our students and we are incredibly grateful to all involved.
